SEH point of view on studying Advanced Nuclear Power

On the last day of Hawaiʻi’s 2025 legislative session, SEH Board Member Peter Sternlicht was contacted by Eric Naktin, a reporter from KITV, Hawaii’s ABC affiliate, asking him to share his thoughts on the legislature forming a Task Force to study the current state of nuclear power generation technologies.

SEH testified in support of a resolution (SCR136) to create a working group to study the feasibility of advanced nuclear power technologies in Hawaii. Here is a link to the news report - Island News - Nuclear energy consideration under debate in Hawaii.
